Fire quickly knocked down at townhomes

The Colorado Springs Fire Department quickly knocked down a fire early Thursday morning.

The fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. at townhomes in the 4200 block of Charleston Dr. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire on the first floor.

Firefighters knocked down the fire in 13 minutes.

A family was displaced by the fire. The Pikes Peak Red Cross is working with the family.

No injuries were reported.
