Injury crashes close lanes on I-25, N. Academy Blvd.

Car accidents kept emergency workers busy Halloween night.

One crash blocked southbound I-25 at mile marker 130, near Fountain. Troopers say the driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to Memorial Hospital. An infant, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old were taken to the hospital by ambulance. It’s unknown how seriously they were hurt. State Patrol said distracted driving may have led to the accident.

Southbound I-25 was completely closed. It has since reopened.

Another crash involving a minivan blocked lanes at N. Academy Blvd. and Goddard Road. Two people were hurt.
