Halloween DUI enforcement

Law enforcement agencies across Colorado are increasing DUI enforcement during the Halloween weekend.

The Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Patrol, along with local police across the state, are increasing enforcement through Monday.

Last year’s Halloween enforcement resulted in 427 DUI arrests. The most were reported in Aurora, Denver and Colorado Springs.

A DUI can cost more than $10,000, and impaired drivers can face jail time, the loss of their driver’s license, higher insurance rates, fines and court costs.
