Colorado Springs house fire under control

A house fire that was burning in southwest Colorado Springs Friday is now under control.

Firefighters reported flames in the attic and through the roof of the home in the 1600 block of Apache Trail, near 8th and Ramona.

No one was inside the house when the fire started. The family had four pets inside. One cat was killed, one is still missing and two dogs were rescued.
