Voight apologized for his comments on his Facebook page:

“I made a recent comment a few day’s ago on a post regarding those of the Muslim faith that was offensive. I would like to apologize to those people that were offended by my insensitive remark and at my generalization of all Muslims there are those of this faith who just want to live in this country peacefully and with dignity. again my sincerest apologies.”
