Pueblo students get the college chemistry experience

Today wasn’t a typical day for a group of chemistry students in Pueblo.

Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Chemistry Department invited middle and high school students to try out different equipment and experiments at the university.

A student said using the different chemistry tools makes her look forward to going to college.

“Coming here it’s almost relaxing for me to see all the different reactions with this or that and to see new technology that we don’t work with at the high school level,” high school student Reyna Ramirez said.

CSU-Pueblo was celebrating Mole Day and National Chemistry Week.

Students from East, South and Centennial high schools were there, along with Skyview Middle School.
