UPDATE: Man arrested in city’s 20th homicide in 2014

Colorado Springs Police arrested a suspect in the city’s 20th homicide of 2014.

A man was shot at a home in the 1000 block of Norwood Avenue in the Southgate area of Colorado Springs Saturday night. He was taken to Memorial Hospital where he later died.

An autopsy was completed Monday (10/20) by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound and the manner of death is a homicide.

Estevan Meehan, 19, has been arrested for Manslaughter. He has been booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

At this time the police department is not seeking any other suspects.
