Enterovirus-68 confirmed in Pueblo

A child was hospitalized recently at Parkview Medical Center.
The child who tested positive was hospitalized but has since been released.
The gender or age of the child can’t be released because of federal privacy laws.
Although EV-68 is not a reportable illness that hospitals or physicians must report, the state health department has been working with emergency departments to monitor EV-68 symptoms.
