Mail-in ballots mailed today, USPS urges early return

Mail-in ballots went out Monday (10/13) morning and the United States Postal Service is urging voters to return those ballots early.

According to state law, the ballot must be received by the County Clerk on or before election day, November 4th. A Postmark does not count. The Postal Service also encourages voters to mail those ballots early with proper postage.

The District Manager oversees mail operations for the state. She says postal employees are ready for the ballots.

“The state legislature placed their faith, their vote, in the Postal Service when they allowed for this all-mail ballot system,” said Selwyn Epperson, District Manager. “We intend to deliver on that confidence.”
