Hwy 115 repair work begins; lane closure to last 7 days

The Colorado Department of Transportation is beginning repair work on Hwy 115 in El Paso County that will require a seven-day lane closure.

The repair work starts Tuesday (10/7/14) morning about three miles north of the El Paso/Fremont county line.

During the construction, the right lane of northbound Hwy 115 will be closed around the clock. The left lane will stay open to traffic, but the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.

The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 14.

CDOT will be excavating and repaving a 1 mile segment of the highway.
