Michigan Ave. shooting victim identified

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a woman who was shot to death in a neighborhood near Circle Dr. and Airport Rd.

The shooting happened in the 3000 block of Michigan Ave. on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Police received the call at 12:19 a.m.

On Monday, October 6, 2014, police identified the victim as Linda Kochman, 43. Kochman’s death has been ruled a homicide.

Erik Dean Dlouhy, 25, was arrested on probable cause for manslaughter.

Kochman’s death marks the 18th homicide in Colorado Springs in 2014. There had been 25 homicides in the city at this time in 2013.
