Jefferson County deputies searching for inmate

Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a jail inmate who escaped Sunday night.

Thirty-two-year-old Travis Sandlin managed to get out while in an outdoor recreation area. Deputies found the fence damaged.

Sandlin was being held on drug, weapons and motor vehicle theft charges.

Deputies searched through the night for him but haven’t found any sign of him and welcome any tips from the public.
