Suspect in custody after stabbing

The suspect in a late night stabbing investigation has been caught.

Colorado Springs police responded to a call in the 2200 block of Flintwood Drive. Officers discovered a 26-year-old woman who had been stabbed in the head.

Investigators later learned that the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Daniel Quintana, became involved in a dispute with family members. Police say Quintana armed himself during the dispute, and then stabbed the victim before running out of the back door.

Quintana was later found and arrested on felony domestic violence and assault charges.

The victim was treated at a local hospital.
