College radio station excellence
Colorado State University-Pueblo is the best college radio station in the U.S. according to the Broadcast Education Association.
The BEA awarded REV 89, the college radio station, the National Signature Station Award. It’s the association’s highest radio honor.
The university beat out 471 other college radio stations around the U.S. to earn the award.
KayLynn McAbee is a student at the radio station. She said the key to their success is variety.
“We are all different and we come up with incredible content and we relate to everyone out there. We have great managers, people who really do believe in us,” she said.
The radio station is fully run by students.
