Fire seriously damages a home in Colorado Springs

A Colorado Springs home was seriously damaged after an early morning fire.

The fire was in the 3800 block of Vaquero Circle North. That’s near Austin Bluffs and Academy.

Colorado Springs firefighters got the call about the house fire at 4:55 Thursday (9/18/14) morning.

Firefighters tell us they saw flames coming out of the basement.

They say seven adults, two children and one infant were inside the home, and got out safely. Two dogs were also found, but three cats are missing.

There are minor road closures around the home, so avoid the area.
