Authorities: Nebraska slaying victim from Colorado
Authorities in western Nebraska say a man whose body was found on a riverbank was from Colorado.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday identified the man as 43-year-old Lonnie Sanchez, of Hoehne, Colorado.
The office says two people reported seeing the body late Tuesday along the South Platte River. Officers say the body was wrapped in a tarp and had facial wounds. An autopsy is scheduled for next week.
Officers have arrested a 45-year-old man and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of murder and a 31-year-old woman on suspicion of being an accessory. Online court records don’t yet list the cases or show that the three have been formally charged.
