Pueblo grandparents cheer for grand-daughter in Miss America Competition

Two Pueblo grandparents cheered on their granddaughter competing in the Miss America Competition.

Roger and JoAnn Rosengren’s granddaughter Jessica Hartman represented Miss Missouri in the pageant. She grew up in Vineland and graduated from Pueblo County High School.

The Rosengren’s hosted a watch party at their senior living center. The two tuned in with a dozen of their neighbors. The grandparents wore two corsages and sat front-row center.

The group cheered every time Hartman appeared on the T.V. during the pre-competition coverage.

Hartman did not advance to the top 15. Her grandparents said they were disappointed, but the competition was tough. They are proud of Hartman for making it onto the stage.

“She had a lot of success leading up to this point. So we aren’t upset,” said Rosengren.

They said she excels at interviews with the judges and the swimsuit competition.
