Second escapee captured in Colorado Springs

Two men who escaped from a DOC work crew in Denver on Thursday were arrested in Colorado Springs on Friday.

Adolfo Lopez was arrested late Friday night after an hours long standoff at a home in the 2400 block of Delta Drive.

KRDO NewsChannel 13’s Chris Jacobs reported that officers used a loudspeaker to call for Lopez to come out of the house. He said officers deployed more than 40 “flash bangs” throughout the evening.

Police went to the home on Delta Drive after receiving a tip from the department of corrections.

No injuries were reported following Friday night’s standoff.
