One escapee from El Paso County captured

The Colorado Department of Corrections said Friday it captured one of two convicts who walked away from a work site in Denver.

Manual Rodriguez, 32, was caught in Colorado Springs Friday morning, the Department of Corrections said. He was found in the 4000 block of Academy Boulevard at a convenience store.

Rodriguez was convicted of forgery, identity theft and second degree burglary out of El Paso County.

Adolpho Lopez, 38, remains on the loose. The department said Lopez is about 5’6″, 205 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He also has a tattoo across his back that said “Lopez.” He was convicted of drug abuse charges also out of El Paso County.
