Man involved in fight on I-270 hit, killed by SUV

Authorities say a man was hit and killed by an SUV while he was fighting another man following an accident on an interstate in Commerce City.

Police say the victim was hit after the accident on Interstate 270 at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. His name and age have not been released.

The Denver Post reports the driver of the SUV was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after failing a roadside test. The other man involved in the fight was held for questioning and released without being charged.
