Bed bug scare: Building swept, no bed bugs found

A bed bug scare at a Colorado Springs business Monday was apparently unfounded as a sweep of the building turned up none of the creepy crawlies.

The scare happened at a building at Garden of the Gods Business Park. It is owned by Verizon Real Estate and houses several businesses.

A Verizon spokesperson said Monday that one floor was in question and the situation was being investigated.

The building was declared bed-bug free following that investigation.
