Memorial service for Monument teen killed in car crash

New Life Church was filled with over a thousand people and countless tears.

“As I look around this room today I can hear Beau saying to me…see dad, I told you people loved me,” his father Don said.

It was just a week ago that the teen was getting ready to go fishing with his father. Today, Don had to find words that no parent ever should…the eulogy of a child.

“We loved our Beau and we wanted to take one more chance to publicly say thank you for loving him too,” Don said.

Several friends and Beau’s wrestling coach also gave stirring eulogies for Beau. One of his sisters, Kendall made it clear while her little brothers smile will never light up a room again, it will continue to brighten the memories of those who loved him.

“My brother had a special, unique heart that will live on through me, my sister, my parents and everyone here today,” Kendall said.

There was no mention of the accident that cut Beau’s life short because to the family, today wasn’t about their son and brother’s death…rather his life. A life they say was full.

“Beau Begier really lived and so that is what we must do. We must go forth from here and continue to live,” Don said.
