Crisis team helps students cope in Monument after deadly crash

Students faced school for the first time without their classmates on Tuesday.

17-year-old Beau Begier and 18-year-old Ryan Pappas died early Monday morning. Both are from Monument.

The Lewis-Palmer School District spokesperson said, 17-year-old Mitchell Clark is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 17-year-old driver was arrested and troopers say he may have been drinking.The crash happened at Hodgen and Roller Coaster Road. Troopers say the car sped through a stop sign, went airborne, and then spun off the side of the road.

A crisis team is now at Palmer Ridge High School in Monument to help students going through this difficult time.
