Balloons grounded on final day of Colorado Balloon Classic
Hot air balloons were grounded in Memorial Park this morning on the final day of the Colorado Balloon Classic in Colorado Springs.
Gusty winds let to a red flag at the event Monday morning. Pilots had hoped the weather would improve, but officials made the final call before 8 a.m. that it was not safe for the ascension.
The Colorado Balloon Classic is leaving the Springs after this Labor Day weekend after 38 years.
