Springs apartment fire under investigation

Colorado Springs fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at an apartment complex near Academy and Flintridge Thursday morning (8/28/14).

The fire happened at the New Horizons Apartments in the 4900 block of El Camino Dr.

The fire started in a second floor unit. Firefighters say a total of 18 apartments were affected to some degree.

It’s unknown how many people, if any, will be displaced because of the fire.

No injuries have been reported.
