UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Colorado Springs stabbing

A suspect has been arrested in a stabbing in Colorado Springs Sunday.

Police said Michael Jonathan Ray, 32, from Georgia faces 1st-degree murder charges. The victim has been identified as Patrick Hampton, 31 from Tennessee.

Police were called to the 1000 block of Kelly Johnson Blvd (near N Academy Blvd and Voyager Pkwy) around 4 a.m. When they got there, they found a man in a parking lot who had been stabbed several times. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

An autopsy will be done on Hampton Monday, police said.
