150 Fort Carson soldiers welcomed home in early morning ceremony
About 150 Fort Carson soldiers were welcomed home at the Mountain Post early Saturday morning.
The soldiers are with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. They deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in March 2014.
The soldiers were originally supposed to be deployed for nine months, but returned early as part of the phased reduction of troops in Afghanistan.
