Fort Carson honors 2 killed by Afghanistan bomb

Fort Carson is honoring two soldiers killed last month by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.

Soldiers gathered Friday at the post near Colorado Springs for a memorial service for Staff Sgt. Benjamin G. Prange of Hickman, Nebraska, and Pfc. Keith Williams of Visalia, California.

Both were members of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, the last combat brigade from Fort Carson serving in Afghanistan. They were killed July 24 in Kandahar Province.

Prange was in his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, but it was the first for Williams.
