Thunderstorms brought heavy rain and flash flooding to parts of the Pikes Peak Region Thursday.

A flash flood watch that was issued for El Paso and Teller Counties has been cancelled.

Cars became stuck in high water at Highway 83 and North Gate in Colorado Springs. At least one driver had to be rescued by firefighters.

Highway 24 closed for a time Thursday evening while CDOT crews used a plow to clear a mudslide from the road at mile marker 273, west of Divide.

Heavy rain brought low visibility and standing water to the I-25 corridor between northern Colorado Springs and Monument.

Earlier in the afternoon, traffic cameras showed high water along the Powers Blvd. corridor between Barnes and Constitution, and Marksheffel Rd. was closed near N. Carefree because of high water.
