Rockslide closes Central City Parkway
An alternate route to the mountain gambling towns of Central City and Black Hawk has been closed by a rock slide.
KMGH-TV shot footage from a helicopter showing rocks and dirt covering four lanes of the Central City Parkway. There was no immediate report of injuries from the slide that happened about 1.5 miles from Interstate 70. The slide also swept a utility pole onto the highway.
Additional information was not immediately available.
The 8.4 mile four-lane highway connecting Central City to Interstate 70 opened in 2004.
