Pueblo man says he was shot in the leg during attempted carjacking

The Pueblo Police Department says a man was flown to a Denver hospital after being shot in the leg during an attempted carjacking.

Brian Comstock, 38, told investigators that the incident happened in the area of 7th Street and Troy Avenue.

Comstock said he drove his car to the intersection of Constitution Road and Macneil Road to call for help.

Police said the area was searched and neighbors were interviewed, but nobody reported hearing anything. They said witnesses who are involved in the situation are not cooperating with the investigation.

The intersection where Comstock pulled over to call 9-1-1 is near East High School. Students were not in class. The fall semester begins on September 1.
