Pueblo County Marijuana stores shut down by state

Colorado revenue officials have suspended the operating licenses of both Greener Side Marijuana store locations in Pueblo County, according to our news partners at the Chieftain.

The newspaper reports that the location off of I-25 in Stem Beach closed Wednesday. The Pueblo West location in the 700 block of Enterprise Drive closed last month.

Both will remain closed pending a state licensing hearing, according to Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor.

State revenue officials did not return the Chieftain’s telephone calls Thursday about the suspension.

The newspaper was also unable to reach Greener Side owner Hank Borunda for comment.

Taylor said the license suspensions were linked to compliance problems with state regulations, not allegations of criminal conduct. Sheriff investigators took part in the investigation at both store locations, he said.
