Four alarm fire continues to smolder inside El Paso County business

Fifty firefighters battled a four alarm fire in the 6100 block of Lake Shore Court Thursday (8/7/14).

The fire sparked in an industrial neighborhood southeast of Powers and Constitution at a paintball manufacturing company called Valken Sports.

Cimarron Hills Fire Department Chief Matt Love says several small compressed gas canisters inside the building exploded.

The fire is still not out because firefighters say they cannot safely go inside the building.

One person was briefly trapped, but was able to escape unharmed.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but Chief Love says it does not appear to be suspicious.
