Colorado Springs Police searching for sex assault suspect
Colorado Springs police are searching for a man who is wanted for a suspected kidnapping and sexual assault.
Police received a tip Sunday about a possible kidnapping. Officers eventually located the victim in the 3000 block of Monica Drive West. Detectives from the Special Victims Unit were called in to assist with the investigation.
Police are now looking for Richard Leslie Joseph, 48. Joseph is believed to be driving a red, 2001 Ford Escape. It has Colorado plates with the number 018-XCY.
Police describe Joseph has a weapon and is dangerous. They advise residents to immediately call 911 if they see either Joseph or his vehicle.
