Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash

Pueblo police say a man who was badly hurt in a motorcycle accident Wednesday was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened at the intersection of W. 13th St. and Greenwood St. at around 10:30 a.m. on July 23, 2014.

Witnesses told police that a car driving westbound on 13th ran the red light and hit the motorcyclist, who was northbound on Greenwood.

The 67-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say charges are pending against the driver of the car. They say speed may be a factor in the accident, but that they do not suspect alcohol was involved.
