UPDATE: Body found at Fountain church

Police in Fountain found the body of a 29-year-old man at the Valley Christian Church late Monday evening.

The man does not appear to have any connection to the church. Police believe he was a soldier.

Detectives tell us the coroner’s office reports the cause of death is a single-gunshot wound to the head. They believe it’s a suicide.

Detectives from the Fountain Police Department are continuing to investigate the death.
