Victim in Sunday night shooting identified
Colorado Springs Police have released the name of the man who was shot to death in the Spring Creek neighborhood.
The shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday (7/20/14) in the 2200 block of St. Claire Park Alley, south of E. Fountain Blvd.
The victim has been identified as Michael T. Garcia, 31, of Colorado Springs.
Garcia’s death has been ruled a homicide. This is the 13th homicide in the city in 2014. There had been 19 homicides in Colorado Springs at this time last year.
Police don’t have any suspect information at this time.
