Fire at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo contained to gift shop
The Colorado Springs Fire Department quickly got a structure fire at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo under control Friday morning.
The fire was contained to the gift shop. There was no danger to any of the animals.
The fire was reported around 7:15 a.m. CSFD tweeted it appeared to be a basement fire, and that firefighters were suppressing the fire in boxed goods.
Firefighters got the fire under control around 7:40 a.m.
