CSPD investigates armed robbery, carjacking

A stolen car has been recovered, but Colorado Springs police are still searching for three people involved in a late-night robbery and carjacking.

Police say a man was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on E. Fillmore St. around 11:30 p.m. Thursday when three people approached him. The victim told police one of them had a gun and demanded cash and the victim’s car. The other two people then left the area in separate cars, and the person with a gun left in the victim’s car.

Police say the car was recovered at the 7-Eleven on Austin Bluffs Pkwy. around 3:30 a.m. Friday. The suspects are still at large.
