Three hurt in motorcycle pileup, hit-and-run

Colorado State Patrol is investigating a three vehicle crash where three people were seriously hurt. It happened around 3:30 pm yesterday when a 2013 Harley Davidson was traveling west on Highway 24.

An unknown vehicle was making a left turn onto Crystal Peak Drive from the highway. The motorcycle collided with the vehicle. The motorcycle then slid into the eastbound lane of the highway. A 2007 Yamaha was traveling east on Highway 24 and crashed while trying avoid the motorcycle.

All three motorcyclists were ejected and taken to Memorial Hospital. The riders on both motorcycles were wearing helmets. One of the riders is from Kansas and the other is from Colorado Springs.
