Florence Police investigating suspicious fire

Florence Police are investigating a fire that started Saturday afternoon.

Police said it happened around 2 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Railroad Avenue.

Firefighters saw heavy black smoke and flames behind two businesses when they arrived, police said. The fire was put out in about an hour.

Two buildings, power poles and power lines were damaged, police said.

Police are calling this fire suspicious.
