Man loses wedding ring at garbage dump

Imagine losing your wedding ring at the garbage dump. It happened to a man in Divide, Colorado while throwing out his trash.

It was like finding a needle in a haystack, but a day later an employee recovered the ring. Elric Winterer didn’t think he would see the wedding ring his wife made for him ever again. It was lost in a sea of trash.

“The first bag I grabbed and picked it up and went to fling it out, and when I did my ring came flying off my finger,” said Winterer.

Fortunately, it was found one day later.

“Right when I was getting ready to close up (shop), something just kept catching my eye to this one area and I walked over there, kept seeing the top of this ring. Just a silver ring coming out of the dirt pile,” said Waste Management worker Robbie Vallejos.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time Winterer has lost his wedding band. He said the last time it went missing he found it in a box of ice cream treats in the freezer.
