Wildfire burning in Fremont County remains small

A one-quarter acre wildfire continues to burn on Bureau of Land Management property near Caon City.

The fire started Monday (6/23/14) and was caused by lightning. It’s burning about six miles northeast of Caon City.

The BLM says the fire has not grown in size and that some rain fell on it Wednesday (6/25/14.)

Additional firefighters have arrived to help make sure the fire stays small. They are preparing for warmer and drier weather in the area on Thursday.
