Fort Collins hit by late night thunderstorm

A late night thunderstorm has left standing water in some streets and parking lots around Fort Collins.

Heavy rain and hail hit the area around 11 p.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service says up to 2 inches of rain fell in 30 minutes.

The Coloradoan reports that some residents reported hail the size of ping-pong balls in some areas.
