Woodland Park Mayor faces sexual assault charge against a teenage boy

David Turley is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy, according to the arrest warrant we obtained on Monday.

On Monday he was formally charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

According to the affidavit an assistant principle from Woodland Park Middle School contacted police saying a 17-year-old boy waspossibly having inappropriate contact with Turley.

In the report the 17-year-old says Turley touched him inappropriately while they were alone in a hot tub.

Turley denies this accusation, but admitted to touching the victims privates on accident.

We approached the mayor after leaving court on Monday, but his lawyer quickly told us they had no comment.

His case is pushed back until late July for his a preliminary hearing.
