Ft. Carson welcomes home 260 soldiers
The air is a lot thinner in Colorado Springs than Kuwait, but 260 soldiers are breathing easier.
The soldiers with the 2 nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4 th Infantry Division, returned to a packed Special Events Center on the post. Families had tears in their eyes as they welcomed their loved ones home.
The 2nd ABCT deployed approximately 2,500 Soldiers in September 2013 and are redeploying from a nine-month rotation in Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During their deployment, they conducted security cooperation, joint exercises and training.
