Pikes Peak Ave. closed for gas line repairs
A portion of Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs was closed Wednesday afternoon (6/18/14) after police say a gas line was hit.
The incident happened in the 400 block of E. Pikes Peak Avenue at around 3:20 p.m.
The fire department says a two inch gas main was hit while a drilling company was installing fiber optic.
E. Pikes Peak is closed between Wahsatch Ave. and Colorado Ave.
The road was expected to remain closed through Wednesday evening’s commute.
