Sexually violent predator registers as homeless in Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department says that a sexually violent predator who was recently released from prison is now living on the streets.

Daniel Lawrence Murphy, 38, is registered as homeless in the area of I-25 and the Martin Luther King Junior Bypass.

Murphy was convicted of 1st degree sex abuse in Suffolk County, New York in 2000. He also has convictions for harassment, forcible touching and failure to register a sex offender in New York and Colorado.

Murphy is one of ten sexually violent predators currently registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
