Man attempts to shoot POE officer in Fort Collins

Fort Collins Police say a man entered the southbound Port of Entry in Fort Collins and attempted to shoot a POE officer on Sunday around 7:40 a.m.

The suspect allegedly entered the POE office and pointed a firearm at a the officer. Police say the suspects gun didn’t fire when he pulled the trigger.

The suspect then climbed into a dirty white semi-tractor towing a white box trailer and continued southbound on Interstate 25.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in
his early to mid-30’s. He is 5’7″ to 5’9″ tall, with short black hair, a
mustache, and a medium build.

The Fort Collins Police Department is leading the investigation.
