Red Flag Warning issued for high fire danger

The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for southeastern Colorado and the San Luis Valley Monday (5/19/14).

The warning includes Colorado Springs, Pueblo, La Junta, Lamar, Springfield, Walsenburg, Trinidad, Alamosa and the surrounding areas.

A red flag warning is issued on days when warm temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds combine to create extremely high fire danger.

Monday’s Red Flag Warning began at 10 a.m. and will expire at 8 p.m.
